COROS Black Crystal, Garmin Strength Dashboards, Zwift Levels: Quick Roundup

Three updates dropped in quick succession from major sports tech players, and at least one more surprise is reportedly on the way. DC Rainmaker flagged a mystery announcement due imminently, described as completely off the radar for the industry.

COROS is pushing into premium aesthetics with the Black Crystal edition, targeting athletes who want a training tool that does not look like a training tool. It sits alongside the existing APEX 2 Pro lineup and competes visually with Garmin's MARQ series, though at a significantly lower price point.

Garmin is rolling out Strength Training Dashboards, which is a direct response to the growing Hyrox and functional fitness crowd. If you have been manually logging sets and reps on a Fenix 7 or Forerunner 965 and squinting at the data afterward, this structured view should make post-session analysis faster and more actionable.

Zwift is continuing its phased rollout of the Levels system, which ties XP progression to structured in-game rewards. Cyclists and triathletes using Zwift through winter base-building blocks now have a clearer ladder to climb, which matters for motivation when you are three hours into a Tuesday trainer session.

Solid week of incremental updates across the board. Nothing earth-shattering yet, but the mystery drop tomorrow is worth watching.
