COROS Pace 4 Suguru Osako Edition Costs $289

COROS has released a Suguru Osako special edition of the Pace 4 for $289, pairing the running watch’s long claimed battery life with a design tied to the Japanese marathon champion. According to 9to5Google, it lasts up to 19 days per charge and delivers more than 41 hours of real-time GPS tracking. For runners building mileage through a training block, that is the headline. Less charging means less chance of reaching for a dead watch as the long run starts.

The hardware remains focused rather than flashy: a 1.2-inch AMOLED display under flat glass, housed in 6000-series aluminum alloy. The matte gray-green finish, supple silicone band, and Osako’s “now or never” motto make this more distinctive than the standard model without changing its purpose. There is also a yellow action button on the left side, used with voice controls to start or manage workouts, create voice notes, and set reminders. That voice-note option sounds genuinely useful for trail runners who want to capture a route issue or training thought without stopping.

The Pace 4 platform is doing the practical work too. COROS includes workout and training plans, a race predictor, virtual pacer, and personalized marathon plans in its app, with no subscription required for data access or a virtual training coach, 9to5Google reports. That helps explain why a dedicated sports watch can make more sense than a general smartwatch for endurance athletes. If maps are the priority, see our earlier look at the [Pace 4 offline-map update](/en/articles/coros-pace-4-gets-offline-maps-at-249-garmin-beaten-again-2026-09-04).

What is missing? This is an edition built around finish, band, and a button color, not a new performance tier. The source gives no indication of new sensors, navigation features, or training metrics beyond the regular Pace 4. Athletes who already own one should treat it as a style purchase, not a reason to replace a working watch.

Verdict: the Suguru Osako Pace 4 is for runners who value GPS endurance, included coaching tools, and a little personality over Wear OS-style app integration. Not a big upgrade. Still a very sensible running watch.
