Garmin Slashes $400 Off Rally Power Meter Pedals

Garmin's making waves this week with affordable new releases. First, the Forerunner 70 got a price cut. Now, it's the turn of the Rally power meter pedals. Initially priced at $1299, Garmin has permanently dropped the MSRP to $899.
This isn't just good news for your wallet; it also brings high-end power measurement within reach of more athletes. The Rally pedals use Garmin's Vector 3 technology, previously seen in their pricier Vector 4S pedals ($1099). With a claimed accuracy of +/- 1%, they're now a solid alternative to the likes of PowerTap P1 ($799) and Favero Assioma Uno D-C1M ($695).
The Rally pedals also boast impressive battery life, lasting up to 120 hours. That's more than enough for even the most dedicated endurance athletes. Compare that to the PowerTap P1's 60 hours or the Assioma Uno's 50 hours.
Verdict: Not perfect - they're still pricey, and installation can be tricky. But solid - now $400 cheaper and offering high-end power measurement at a (relatively) affordable price.
