HYROX Orders Results Analytics Sites to Stop Scraping

HYROX has sent cease and desist letters to at least eight results and analytics platforms, demanding they stop scraping its race-results database within seven days and delete the data already collected. According to The5kRunner, RoxOpt and HyCoach have confirmed receiving letters. For HYROX athletes, this threatens the tools that make race data genuinely useful after the finish line.

The official portal will still show finish times and individual splits. That matters. But it is the baseline, not the analysis many competitors have come to expect. Third-party services compare station performance with an age group, rank athletes across races and seasons, and use previous results to estimate a future finish time. Those are the layers now at risk.

The useful part of HYROX data could disappear

The list of potentially affected services is broad. The5kRunner names HYRESULT, HyroxVault, RoxTimes, Hybrid Racing Platform, HYROX Result API, Hyranking and HYBRD Race Analysis alongside RoxOpt and HyCoach. Some of these platforms host athlete profiles, searchable race archives, rankings and station-by-station percentiles. HyroxVault says it pulls splits from the official portal every 30 seconds, while RoxTimes says it holds results from 208 races.

This is not about workouts recorded on an Amazfit, Garmin or another watch. Your own activity file remains in your account with the watch maker. It is specifically the official HYROX results database under pressure. That distinction matters for athletes using HYROX modes and post-race data tools, including those we covered in our [Amazfit Balance 3 HYROX review](/en/articles/amazfit-balance-3-hyrox-review-hr-accuracy-and-partnership-assessed-2026-06-21). A watch can capture your race, but it cannot recreate the field-wide comparisons built from official results.

Why HYROX is taking action

The letters cite database rights under German copyright law, GDPR concerns around athlete personal data, and trademark use that could imply HYROX endorsement. HYROX told Hybrid Fitness Media that the platforms do not have athlete consent to use their data. It also requires recipients to delete stored HYROX data, including derived datasets and AI embeddings, rather than merely stop collecting new results.

There is a commercial angle too. HYROX says it is not currently able to grant commercial licences or authorise third-party use. That leaves open the possibility of an official analytics product or licensed partner programme later, but there is no stated plan. HYROX already has an exclusive wearables deal with Amazfit, so controlling another valuable part of its ecosystem fits the direction of travel. Still, data access that becomes licensed access often becomes a cost athletes meet through subscriptions or paywalls.

Save your history, but expect a thinner ecosystem

The immediate disappointment is that HYROX has not paired this crackdown with a comparable official tool or API. The official site has results and splits, yet lacks the rankings, comparisons and predictions that made the independent platforms valuable. HyCoach’s founder told Hybrid Fitness Media that HYROX made no contact before the letter and had not responded to an offer to work together. Small, specialist tools are least equipped to absorb legal risk or licence fees.

Our take: save your race history now if you use one of these services. HYROX is within reason to protect its database and athlete data, but removing useful analysis without offering a replacement is a poor outcome for competitors. The official portal remains enough for basic split checking. For athletes who train and race by station trends, age-group context and season-long progress, it is a clear step backwards.
