COROS Pace 3 vs Garmin CIRQA: GPS Watch vs Recovery Band

Our pick

COROS Pace 3

7.2/10

Garmin CIRQA

7.0/10

Overview

These two devices serve fundamentally different purposes. The COROS Pace 3 is a lightweight GPS running watch built for athletes who want training tools, navigation, and performance tracking in a sub-$200 package. The Garmin CIRQA is a screenless recovery band with no GPS, built for continuous health monitoring and sleep tracking. Comparing them directly only makes sense if you are deciding between a dedicated training device and a dedicated recovery wearable.

Specs at a glance

GPS and tracking accuracy

The COROS Pace 3 is the only device here with GPS. Its dual-frequency GNSS was a real advantage at its price point, delivering track distance readings within 1-2% of actual distance and holding accuracy reasonably well in urban canyons and tree cover where single-band watches struggle. The Garmin CIRQA has no onboard GPS and depends entirely on a paired phone or watch for location data. If you run without your phone, the CIRQA logs nothing about your route or pace. For any athlete who cares about GPS-based distance, pace, or route mapping, the CIRQA simply does not compete.

Battery life

The COROS Pace 3 delivers 38 hours in GPS mode and 17 days as a daily watch, which is strong for the category. A marathon runner can log multiple long efforts before needing to charge. The Garmin CIRQA is positioned as a continuous wear device, but Garmin has not published confirmed battery hours. The CIRQA's lack of a screen and GPS means its battery load is lower, and multi-day wear is expected, but buyers cannot plan around a specific number. The COROS Pace 3 wins on transparency here even if the CIRQA may match or exceed its daily-wear runtime.

For athletes: who wins?

Verdict

These are not competing products. The COROS Pace 3 is a training watch and the Garmin CIRQA is a recovery band. If you want to track runs, rides, or any GPS-based activity, buy the COROS Pace 3, especially while discounted stock remains available. If you already own a GPS watch and want a dedicated device for sleep and recovery data without wearing a watch 24/7, the CIRQA fills that role within the Garmin ecosystem. Buying the CIRQA as your only wearable would leave you with no training data. Buy the Pace 3 if you need one device to do most things. Buy the CIRQA only as a complement to an existing GPS watch.
