COROS Pace 3 Discontinued in USA and UK, Entry Price Now $249
COROS has officially pulled the Pace 3 from sale in the USA and UK. The watch won't be restocked, though COROS confirmed it will keep receiving firmware updates for existing owners.
The Pace 3 launched at $229 and quickly became one of the best value running watches on the market. It undercut the Garmin Forerunner 265 by over $150 while delivering solid GPS accuracy, a lightweight 39g build, and up to 38 hours of GPS battery life. Losing it at that price point stings.
With the Pace 3 gone, the cheapest entry into the COROS ecosystem is now $249. That's the Pace Pro, which adds a full touchscreen and improved training metrics. Still competitive against the Polar Pacer at $299 and the Garmin Forerunner 165 at $249, but the budget gap COROS used to own is now tighter.
If you're an existing Pace 3 owner, nothing changes day to day. Firmware support means the watch keeps working, and COROS has a decent track record of long-term software backing. But buying one secondhand just became the only option if you want in under $249.
Solid watch. Good run. The Pace 3 set the bar for affordable GPS running watches and the lineup is harder to recommend at its current entry price.
