Coros is dropping a new watch on October 15, and the leaks are pointing to serious hardware. The Apex 4 appears to be coming with a titanium case and sapphire crystal glass, materials Garmin reserves for the Fenix and Epix lines, and Coros itself keeps for the Vertix tier.

Titanium means a lighter, more durable build without the bulk of stainless steel. Sapphire means your screen survives trail scrambles and Hyrox floor work. These are not entry-level choices. This is Coros signaling the Apex 4 is a step up, not a refresh.

The Apex line has always sat between the Pace and the Vertix: competitive GPS accuracy, solid training load metrics, and better battery life than anything Apple Watch offers. If the Apex 4 keeps that battery edge and adds premium materials, it becomes a direct threat to the Garmin Epix Pro at a likely lower price point.
